The most visited destination in all of Montenegro, Budva’s history spans over two millennia.
You will hear languages being spoken on Budva’s pebbled shores due to the town’s strong appeal. In fact, the beaches of the area are some of the most coveted in the Adriatic. The below is a comprehensive collection of all Budva.
Slovenska Plaza isn’t actually a plaza at all, but Budva’s biggest and most popular shore crossing about 5,000 feet. Inspired thatched umbrellas scattered across the shore and by hills on all sides, it is excellent for children and beach bums . Relax on Slovenska’s soft, sandy shore, and purchase a drink or a tasty bite . Ramble the sidewalk that’s lined with cafes, bars, and restaurants of Slovenska Plaza if you will need a rest in the heat. I suggest choosing your lounge chair and umbrella before 11 a.m. to beat the crowds and get the best people-watching vantage point.
Kamenovo Beach is for those travelers who want a rest from, well, everybody. It is easily obtained from the street, but virtually deserted that you drift down its coastal shoreline. Plus it is completely gorgeous!
All of Montenegro’s beaches are Amazing, but Mogren Beach stands out as a Gemstone amidst gems.
Mogren is comprised of two distinct beaches, Mogren I and II. They are joined. Inspired lush vegetation and by cliffs, the shore is littered with a good deal of snack and drink joints, sunbathers, and bright umbrellas across the boardwalk. It’s possible to spend a sunny day diving from Shark’s Rock cliff, sipping java, swimming in the pristine waters of Mogren, or tanning around the sand.
Jaz Beach, using its turquoise waters and pebbly shore, gets a shout-out because of its allure to a conglomeration of special crowds. A portion of the shore is designated as nudist, and there is a lovely campsite for backpackers.
A five-minute’s drive south off Budva will bring you to the scenic town of Sveti Stefan, a little town at the foot of the Lovcen mountain range. After a tactical trading port to the ancient Venetian Republic (15th century A.D.), both the red roofs, stone facades, and bronze detailing lend themselves to Sveti Stefan’s charm and old world feel. It’s been sought out for the unique charm and natural beauty for many years. In fact, famous bombshells who frequented Sveti Stefan include Marylin Monroe and Sophia Loren! It stays an exclusive resort town with pebble beaches which line the route from the mainland to the village.
